Between Aug. 1 and Nov. 15, 2011 the following new members have joined Gateway CNC:

Organizations  
 

    National Great Rivers Museum in East Alton, IL - Army Corps of Engineers Rivers Project
         Providing interactive environmental education programs and summer camp opportunities for both
          children (as young as pre-kindergarten) and adults.  Museum exhibits open to the public present topics
          ranging from ecology to engineering, plus recreation (hunting, fishing, boating, bird-watching, etc.).



    Bubbles, Environmental Education in Pacific, MO
         Providing environmental education programs - both on-site and in the community - that promote the
          connection of children with their natural surroundings through activities, classes, field trips and
          interpretations designed to increase their knowledge and enjoyment of nature.



    St. Charles Community College - Child Development Center
         Founded in 1996, the Center currently serves nearly 160 children between the ages of 6 months and
          8 years, striving to provide an environment of high-quality, developmentally-appropriate early care 
          and education for these young children, as an accredited and licensed not-for-profit facility.
          The Center is recognized as a demonstration school for the National Center for Project Construct; and
          collaborates with area agencies such as Youth in Need, Early Head Start, and the Division of Family
          Services.  The Center also serves as a resource for area professionals practicing in early care and
          education, as well as serving as a laboratory site for students in early education and nursing.
